The 2025 edition of Classical ME, taking place on November 1–2 at the Senate Hall of UPT in Lloyd Palace, focuses on the theme “Next Generation”, highlighting the urgent need to prepare and integrate emerging talent into the classical music sector. The industry is currently facing a generational transition: established artists, managers, and institutions are challenged to ensure continuity while maintaining a balance between experience and innovation.
This year’s program explores how young artists, composers, and cultural managers can be effectively supported and integrated through knowledge exchange, mentorship, and concrete examples of best practices. Under the “Next Generation” theme, the summit will feature:
International agencies and artist management companies sharing successful models for artist promotion;
Showcases for young talents and youth orchestras, offering visibility and real opportunities for professional development;
Discussions on copyright and intellectual property in the digital era, a crucial topic for sustainable artistic careers;
Conferences focused on modern artist promotion and management, emphasizing adaptation to new cultural markets.
Through conferences, debates, and networking sessions, Classical ME creates a platform for intergenerational dialogue and collaboration, while musical performances by young artists provide a firsthand evaluation of the talent and potential of the next generation.
Showcase-urile servesc drept platformă pentru ca artiștii să își prezinte talentul publicului exigent al Classical ME. Încurajând creativitatea și experimentarea, aceste sesiuni oferă artiștilor independenți, ansamblurilor camerale și organizațiilor culturale oportunitatea de a-și prezenta eforturile artistice prin recitaluri solo, concerte camerale sau spectacole interdisciplinare. Această expunere le oferă o vizibilitate substanțială, deoarece publicul ClassicalME cuprinde unele dintre cele mai influente figuri din muzica clasică, atât la nivel național, cât și internațional.
Through a dynamic array of conferences, round tables, and personalized one-on-one sessions, participants at the Classical ME Summit will have the exceptional opportunity to connect with a wide spectrum of professionals.
These included managers of philharmonics and operas from both national and international realms, rectors, deans, and directors of esteemed music universities and high schools across Europe, directors of classical music festivals, impresarios, discerning art critics, as well as representatives of prominent artists, including international composers, conductors, and soloists. This platform facilitated direct interaction with models of excellence from the European and American landscape, showcasing best practices related to education, development, audience diversification, self-management, artist career growth, and the innovative use of new media techniques in contemporary music.
