Adam Jeanes

Adam Jeanes is Senior Relationship Manager for Music at the Arts Council England, England’s public funding and development agency for the arts, museums and culture where he funds a wide range of artists and organisations classical music and opera, jazz, hip-hop, grime, garage, folk, world music and contemporary music in London.
He has 25 years of international experience as an event manager, project leader, producer and trainer in both the funded and commercial sectors and has led trans-national cultural programmes in Europe and East Asia.

He is recognized for his adept fundraising skills, securing funding from international trusts, foundations, governmental departments, private donors and the European Commission. His previous roles include Project Director for Intercult Productions, based in Stockholm, Sweden and as Assistant Director at Visiting Arts at the British Council, London.
In the 1990s he presented festivals of Muslim, migrant and refugee cultures and toured World Music acts. He has also worked with large-scale outdoor music festival events in the UK including The Green Man Festival and The Big Chill.

CONFERENCE – “Making classical music open to everyone”

Adam Jeanes, will present valuable insights into addressing the pandemic’s transformative impact on classical music experiences, such as a 9-key action plan, an assessment of its influence within and beyond home settings, strategies for collaborating with the Department for Education to enhance music education policy, and advocacy for improved data collection and sharing practices within the classical music sector. All of these efforts will collectively support talent development and retention through the provision of a comprehensive resource guide.
