Federico Hernández

Federico Hernández is Associate Director at HarrisonParrott and Head of the Madrid Office. Before that, he was Artistic Coordinator of the Spanish National Orchestra and manager at Conciertos Augusto. He is BA in Spanish Philology and Musicology (both at Complutense University in Madrid). Besides his experience as music journalist (Scherzo, Opera Actual magazines), he has collaborated as member of the jury at several competitions including the Stavanger Conducting Competition in 2020 and Fitelberg Conducting Competition in 2023 amongst others.
He teaches regularly music management at the Musicology Faculty (Universidad Complutense in Madrid), ICCMU Master in Music Management (Madrid), Musicology Faculty (Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid) and gives every year a Music management course for conductors with students from all around the world.

As a panelist, he has collaborated giving lectures with different institutions such as European Union Youth Orchestra, Fundación Azteca in Mexico DF, WE Festival in Hong Kong 2023, Timisoara Music Summit 2022, ClasClas Summit at Vilagarcia de Arousa, Reina Sofía School and the annual conference of the Association of Spanish Orchestras both in Madrid.

Federico Hernandez, Associate Director of Artist Management at HarrisonParrott Madrid, will explore the theme of “We have to change us first, to change the world” in his conference. He will shed light on the intersection of Climate Change and Music Management, highlighting HarrisonParrott’s robust efforts to attain a carbon-neutral footprint. Furthermore, he will emphasize their commitment to engaging artists, presenters, and audiences in dialogues aimed at enhancing sustainability policies while maintaining a harmonious balance between artistic development and environmental preservation.
